Daniel Reisel: The neuroscience of restorative justice

Daniel Reisel: The neuroscience of restorative justice #TED : http://on.ted.com/f0Cw4

Was watching the video this morning, after a long time without watching TED talks. Having seen Dr Daniel Reisel spoke in TEDx London, it was lovely to hear more of his theory in depth.

While struggling to agree with him entirely on restorative justice, some parts of his talk – especially on the prison culture, has been rather truthful. Prisoners are not just isolated in their prisons, but also from the society. Yes it was wrong of what they have done, but it would only drive them to re-do the crimes/suicide if we can’t leave our stigmas on them as unforgivable behind our back. Which is something that no rehabilitation can save them fromthe vicious cycle, not even London Shakespeare Workout Project…
